To date, studies have provided conflicting results regarding the impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) on sepsis-related outcomes. Our objective is to understand the impact of type 2 DM in bacterial pneumonia and sepsis-related intensive care unit (ICU) outcomes.
