NayakAbstractThe prevalent solid state route has been endorsed to tailor the eco-friendly polycrystalline ceramic Ba2BiVO6. The qualitative phase analysis through X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) at room temperature affirms the formation of single phase new double perovskite. The surface texture of the investigated sample is carried out through scanning electron microscope (SEM) image. Compositional analysis was shaped through the EDS spectra confirms the absence of any contamination. Vibrational properties of the compound investigated through RAMAN and FTIR spectroscopy and confirms the finger print of atoms in the compound. Optical properties of the material have been carried by UV-Vis and Photo luminescence spectroscopy which confirms the compound can be useful for photo catalytic devices. Temperature and frequency dependent dielectric behavior as well as polarization study confirms the presence of ferroelectricity in the compound. Conduction mechanism as well as leakage property of the material is carried out through respective impedance spectroscopy and ac conductivity study.
