AG Slatery accuses Franklin health care firm of fraud, seeks max penalty

Tennessee Attorney General Herbert Slatery III has filed a lawsuit against Franklin-based ProHealth Rural Health Services Inc. and its president and CEO, Ray White, seeking $18.7 million in damages under the Tennessee Medicaid False Claims Act, according to a news release. The suit alleges White knowingly submitted invoices that falsely inflated the number of Medicaid patients who visited his clinics from 2012 to 2017 by more than 56,000.
