HAE C1INH is a condition characterized by recurrent angioedema. The lack of inhibition of C1r and C1s by C1 inhibitor (C1-INH) results in low levels of C4. Previous reports have demonstrated increased risk of autoimmune disease and lymphoproliferative disorders in patients with congenital C4 deficiency. Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) has not been previously associated with HAE C1INH.

Abstract Poikiloderma is a hereditary pathologic situation in which the appearance of skin rash is associated with epidermal atrophy, telangiectasia, and reticular dyspigmentation skin symptoms of poikiloderma are usually caused by sun damage. The main reason forpoikiloderma is unknown. We introduce a 14- month-old boy who referred to our center with a complaint of fever and cough. Furthermore, hepatosplenomegaly symptoms had been presented at the time of birth and were continuously observed at age one. He had transient thrombocytopenia when he was born due to his prematurity condition, which was resolved during I...

AbstractStreptococcus A infections have been associated with immune-mediated sequelae including acute glomerulonephritis, acute rheumatic fever, thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, Henoch-Sch önlein purpura, arthritis, uveitis, guttate psoriasis, and erythema nodosum. Available reviews do not report the occurrence of acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis in association with one of the mentioned conditions. We performed a systematic review of the literature on extrarenal immune-medi ated disorders associated with acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis. The principles recommended by the Economic and Social Rese...
