This briefing note presents key estimates of the health and economic impact of AMR and effective strategies to address this major public health threat. “If no effective action is put in place, AMR to second-line antibiotics will be 72% higher in 2030 compared to 2005 in the EU/EEA. In the same period, AMR to last-line treatments will more than double.”
