UMD Institute for Genome Sciences awarded $17.5 million for infectious disease research
(University of Maryland School of Medicine) The Institute for Genome Sciences (IGS) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) was awarded $17.5 million from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to fund the IGS Genome Center for Infectious Diseases (GCID) for another five years.
