Ex-nursing home owner sentenced to 18 months in jail

An Amherst man that owned two area nursing homes who admitted to bank theft and failing to pay taxes was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Marc Irwin Korn, the former owner of Senior Associates LLC of Amherst, pleaded guilty to the federal charges in November 2018 on crimes that date back to 2011. He previously operated the Fairchild Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Lewiston and the Batavia Nursing Home and Rehabilitat ion Center.
