Opioid epidemic is increasing rates of some infectious diseases

Infectious disease and substance use disorder professionals must work together to stem this public health threat, according to an article co-authored by officials from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
