A comparison of gender-linked population cancer risks between alcohol and tobacco: how many cigarettes are there in a bottle of wine?

Moderate levels of drinking (1 bottle wine/week) is linked to significant increased absolute lifetime risk of alcohol-related cancers in women, driven largely by breast cancer, equivalent to increased absolute cancer risk linked to 10 cigarettes/week for women (5/week for men).
