Federal funding supports UB research on Krabbe Disease

The Hunter James Kelly Research Institute at the University at Buffalo has received $2.1 million in federal funding. The five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health is geared toward research of Krabbe leukodystrophy, known as Krabbe Disease. Krabbe Disease is a rare neurodegenerative disorder that typically manifests in the first few months of life and is often fatal.
