Translation, Cross-cultural Adaptation and Reliability of the Foot Posture Index (FPI-6) - Brazilian Version.
CONCLUSION: The Brazilian version of the FPI-6 has proved reliable in terms of inter and intraobserver reliability and can therefore be used both in clinical practice and in scientific research. PMID: 30893558 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
To evaluate the impact of combining nebulised hyaluronic acid plus hypertonic saline (HA + HS) with oscillatory positive expiratory pressure (oscillatory-PEP) on sputum expectoration and related symptoms in adults with cystic fibrosis (CF).
Conclusions: Children with fetal alcohol syndrome have a higher need for early developmental promotion such as speech treatment, ergotherapy, and physiotherapy. Mouthbreathing, habits, and lack of breastfeeding may result in orthodontic treatment needs. High DMFT and modified DDE indexes hint at a higher treatment and prevention need in dentistry.

Overcrowding in emergency departments (ED) is a major concern worldwide. To answer increasing health care demands, new models of care including advanced practice physiotherapists (APP) have been implemented in...
CONCLUSIONS: The SV players have an asymmetrical rotational strength profile. As muscular imbalance is a common injury pattern among overhead players. The findings of this study may assist the SV coaches and physiotherapists for evaluation and training of strength of the ER and IR shoulders of these players. CONCLUSIONS: Psychological characteristics of previously injured athletes may be influenced from the duration of: (a) medical treatment, (b) injury, (c) physiotherapy treatment and (d) absence from sport, when they return to competition. More research needs to be conducted to confirm the present results. PMID: 31684702 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
ConclusionsThree out of every four published low back pain systematic reviews had critically low methodological quality. Journals with higher impact factor were associated with journals endorsing the PRISMA recommendations. Clinicians must know how to critically appraise reviews. Journals ’ editorial policies should include the assessment of study methodological quality and reporting in the review process of an article.Graphic abstractThese slides can be retrieved under Electronic Supplementary Material.
AbstractPurpose of ReviewThe aim of this study was to determine the effects of aerobic exercise on peak oxygen uptake (peak VO2), minute ventilation/carbon dioxide production (VE/VCO2 slope), and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among patients with heart failure (HF) and preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF).Recent FindingsWe conducted a Cochrane Library, MEDLINE/PubMed, Physiotherapy Evidence Database, and SciELO search (from 1985 to May 2019) for randomized controlled trials that evaluated the effects of aerobic exercise in HFpEF patients. We calculated the mean differences (MD) and 95% confidence interval (CI). Ten ...
