Abstract
In an idealized world, a meta-analysis consolidates the literature, providing an "answer" to a question asked repeatedly by primary studies. However, in the real world, a meta-analysis can raise as many questions as it answers. Such is the case in this well-done meta-analysis of the literature correlating childhood socioeconomic status (SES) and inflammatory biomarkers (Milaniak & Jaffee, 2019).
