White globe appearance in gastric high-grade dysplasia

A 71-year-old Japanese man underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for early esophageal cancer. Although the patient had Helicobacter pylori infection before undergoing ESD, the posttreatment urea breath test result was negative, suggesting that H pylori was unexpectedly eradicated because of antibiotic use during hospitalization for ESD. Two months after ESD, the patient underwent EGD, which revealed multiple mottled patchy erythema and a reddish, slightly depressed lesion (A, B: after indigo carmine spraying) in the lesser curvature of the gastric body.
