Oxymatrine therapy inhibited epidermal cell proliferation and apoptosis in severe plaque psoriasis.
CONCLUSION: Oxymatrine treatment reduced proliferation but inhibited apoptosis of cells in the skin lesion. The balance between cell proliferation and turn-over may contribute to the significant alleviation of psoriasis by oxymatrine. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
