Posterior Mediastinal Schwannoma (Neurilemmoma)

A posterior mediastinal mass was identified by routine chest radiography and further evaluated by computed tomography (4.5-cm uncalcified homogeneous mass in the right posterior chest) and magnetic resonance imaging. A neurogenic tumor was suspected based on the clinical and imaging studies. The photograph shows the cross section of the resected schwannoma (neurilemmoma).
