Unique Acupuncture Headache Protocol for Chronic Daily Headache
Pain is a very common problem in U.S. adults, especially in adults more than 65 years old. 40-80% of nursing home. Headache is one of the most frequent complaints in older people. Chronic headache is defined as having a headache on at least half the days for 3 months or more; it affects 3-4% of the general population, and there is no data regarding nursing home residents. Chronic daily headache is challenging to manage, especially in older, frail nursing home residents. Current headache management is medication based.
