Request for Proposals: 2015 Comparative Effectiveness Research Professorship in Breast Cancer The Comparative Effectiveness Research Professorship (CERP) is a topic-specific competition designed to provide flexible funding to outstanding researchers who have made and are continuing to make significant contributions that have changed the direction of cancer research and who provide mentorship to junior researchers. This program was created in response to the rapid growth of the Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) field and the governmental recommendation to increase training opportunities in comparative effectiveness methods. Letters of Intent (LOI) are due by December 3, 2014.  Invited full applications are due by January 26, 2015. The total award amount is $500,000 payable on July 1 in annual increments of $100,000 over five years. The award is not designed to cover the total cost of a research project or the investigator’s entire compensation, but can be used at the discretion of the awardee to support their overall research activities. The Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO currently has funding for one 2015 Comparative Effectiveness Research Professorship in Breast Cancer, but will award more Professorships if additional funding becomes available.
