03:18 PM Abstract No. 220 Retinoic acid enhances doxorubicin-induced cytotoxicity in rat hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines

Quiescent stellate cell (Q-HSC) condition media has been shown to induce apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell lines [1]. This in-vitro study investigates the added benefit of retinoic acid (stored in Q-HSCs) co-administration with doxorubicin on HCC tumor cell death. This may help to develop a potential therapeutic option for more effective HCC treatment.
