03:18 PM Abstract No. 280 Is microwave ablation superior to radiofrequency ablation in the treatment for pulmonary metastasis of colorectal cancer? One center ’s 17-year experience in Australia

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for colorectal cancer lung metastases (CRCLM) has been studied since 2000 and shown to be safe with promising short to mid-term survival data. RFA aims to be an alternative treatment for CRCLM that are unsuitable for lung resection. Recently, microwave ablation (MWA) has grown in popularity for CRCLM. However, short to long-term efficacy of both modalities have yet to be understood.
