Mass. judge sides with Amazon-backed startup in Optum lawsuit over employee

A federal judge has ruled that a new Amazon-backed health care startup should not be blocked from hiring an employee from Optum, asking the sides to come to a resolution in arbitration. Optum, a subsidiary of national health insurance giant UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), in January sued the health care venture over the hiring of former Optum employee David William Smith.
