Comparison of laparoscopic discoid resection and segmental resection for colorectal endometriosis using a propensity score matching analysis

Introduction: Bowel endometriosis is one of the most severe forms of deep infiltrating endometriosis. The management of colorectal DIE constitutes a challenge for physicians. Indeed, medical therapies are of limited effect because of their partial efficacy on the fibrotic component of an endometriotic lesion. Surgery is thus an alternative option for symptomatic patients.
