A Look at EMS Today 2019

More than 4,600 EMS providers, educators, and vendors will gather at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland February 20 – 22, 2019 for EMS Today, a premier EMS conference for more than 36 years. Opportunities abound for networking, education, interaction with exhibitors, hands-on experiences, and socializing. A wide variety of preconference workshops are offered Tuesday morning and afternoon, including topics like active shooter/violent events, prehospital ultrasound, community paramedicine, wilderness and pet first aid. The opening ceremonies kick off at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday with presentation of the JEMS EMS 10 Awards, the Dr. John Pryor award, and a powerful keynote address by Ryan Jenkins, the leading voice on Millennials and Generation Z. Educational sessions follow the opening session, starting at 11:00 a.m. These include more than 240 topics presented by popular speakers from around the world. The exhibit hall opens at 3:00 p.m. and will offer a one-of-a kind interactive learning lab sponsored by 13 of the industry’s most progressive companies. These learning labs each have objective-based, hands-on skill or mini-scenario sessions staffed by educators. Attendees can participate in a skills challenge by visiting all 13 stations. The first 500 participants will receive a free T-shirt.
