Oregon substance use treatment providers can get help repaying loans

Oregon clinicians who treat substance use disorders can apply for help repaying their loans under a new program administered by the federal government. The National Health Service Corps launched the program in response to the opioid crisis, which claimed 1,500 lives to overdose in Oregon between 2012 and 2016. Loan repayment assistance is given in exchange for service in rural and underserved communities. Clinicians can receive up to $75,000 for three years of full-time service at a health careā€¦
