Association of Menopausal Age with Unruptured Intracranial Aneurysm Morphology

Conclusions: A trend to increased UIA maximal diameter and neck size was seen in the POM group compared to the PRM group. The PRM group had a significantly higher number of UIA lobes. Larger prospective trials are needed to confirm these findings.Intervent Neurol 2019;8:109 –115

AbstractIntroduction and hypothesisCervical elongation (CE) has not been clearly defined and has similar symptoms to pelvic organ prolapse. We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of preoperative POP-Q examinations, ultrasonographic measurements, and direct cervical length measurement with a Foley catheter in predicting CE on postoperative hysterectomy specimens.MethodsFifty-six patients who underwent vaginal hysterectomy for apical pelvic organ prolapse were included. The patients were divided into two groups based on the hysterectomy specimens ’ corpus/cervix ratio (CCR) as follows: the non-CE group, CCR> 1; the CE group, CCR

Voice complaints associated with menopause have been reported by a substantial number of studies. However, to assess the clinical relevance of menopause to voice is still difficult as the extent to which menopausal symptoms are reflected on voice metrics remains unclear. A comprehensive review and meta-analysis were carried out to identify voice-related metrics that change with menopause and to quantify the magnitude of those changes. Academic Search Premier, Medline, SciELO, Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science were searched without restriction of publication year until January 2020.

The objective of this study is to analyze if whole-body electromyostimulation (WB-EMS) is suitable for the prevention and treatment of postmenopausal physical deterioration. Thirty-four healthy sedentary women between 55 and 69 years followed an experimental design pre-post test. Both groups conducted 10 weeks of aerobic and strength training program. The experimental group conducted the training with superimposed WB-EMS during exercise. At the end of the intervention, the experimental group obtained better power (Squat: mean difference (MD) = 38.69 W [1.75,75.62], d = 0.81; Bench press: MD = 25.64 W [17.48, 33.82], d = 2....
