Publication date: Available online 21 November 2014 Source:The Egyptian Journal of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Author(s): Ahmed Samy El-agwany , Ayat Samir Abel Moneim Teratomas account for 15% of all ovarian tumors, and 95% are dermoids. In the reproductive period, they constitute 43–70% of all benign ovarian neoplasms, with their highest frequency in adolescents. They are bilateral in up to 15% of cases. A 35year old multiparous female with three living children and history of previous III cesarean sections, presented with lower abdominal pain. Ultrasound revealed bilateral ovarian dermoid cysts. After laparotomy, we found two dermoid cysts on the left side and two dermoid cysts on the right side of variable sizes, which is a rare condition. All the dermoid cysts were enucleated with reconstruction of the remaining ovarian tissues.
