Abstract AimThe incidence of proximal gastric carcinoma (PGC) is rising worldwide for unknown reasons. Herein we investigated and compared the risk factors of early PGC with distal gastric carcinoma (DGC) in Chinese patients treated at a single tertiary hospital in China.
