Fibrous dysplasia with secondary aneurysmal bone cyst —a rare case report and literature review
ConclusionsBased on our literature search, this report is the first to describe concomitant monostotic FD and ABC in the zygomatic bone. Accurate diagnosis requires careful investigation and examination of clinical, radiographical, and histopathological features. The treatment of choice should provide an esthetic and functional improvement in the patient.

In this study, we used freeze-dried allograft as a bone graft substitute, and we were able to detect bony trabeculae at the graft–recipient interface on lateral cervical radiographs and on reconstructed sagittal computed tomographic images in all patients. These results suggest that use of allograft is effective for treatment of upper cervical spine abnormalities in pediatric patients with Down syndrome.
Conclusions: Within the limitations of the present study, PRF seems to favor soft-tissue healing but has no additional benefit in bone regeneration when used in combination with DFDBA.
CONCLUSIONS: Revision surgery using the solution prosthesis with or without cortical strut allograft is effective in treating Vancouver type B2 PFFs, with satisfactory mid- and long-term clinical and radiological outcomes. PMID: 31232172 [PubMed - in process]

In this retrospective study, we report the preliminary results of a novel technique for volar vascularized strut grafting to treat avascular scaphoid nonunion by using the 1,2 intercompartmental supraretinacular artery through a single incision. Forty-three of 45 patients with avascular scaphoid nonunion healed at a mean of 13 weeks (range, 3 to 10 mo). Conclusion: Although calcium phosphate double-coated anorganic bovine bone showed no additional effect compared with anorganic bovine bone from a histological and radiographical point of view, it could be used as the bone graft material in maxillary sinus augmentation.
Conclusions: Freeze-dried allograft bone is a safe and equal alternative for dorsal augmentation without donor-site morbidity. Further studies are needed to (1) confirm these findings for young patients needing long-term reconstruction, and (2) partially demineralize allograft bone to allow carving with a scalpel. We report on a patient with a positron emission tomography/computed tomography scans (PET/CT)-negative malignant spine tumor, which had even caused a pathologic fracture, and was eventually confirmed on surgical biopsy.
