Readmission Following Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery: An analysis of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Database.
CONCLUSIONS: Readmission is common after congenital heart surgery, mostly for non-cardiovascular reasons. Process improvement initiatives targeted at high-risk patients might minimize its impact.
