We report the case of a male patient with cutaneous metastasis of prostate adenocarcinoma located in the cervical and upper thoracic area. The patient also had a history of pulmonary tuberculosis. A CT scan revealed the presence of bone metastasis, pleural effusion, and infiltration of the soft tissues of the neck. The histopathological study confirmed the presence of cutaneous metastasis of primary prostate neoplasia. We present this case due to its unusualness and its importance in the differential diagnosis of this pathology. PMID: 31800950 [PubMed - in process]

In this study, performance of a new experimental test based on the P22 protein complex (P22 ELISA) was evaluated in two TB-infected herds using milk and serum samples and compared with cell-based diagnostic tests. Samples from a low (n = 62, herd 1) and a high (n = 52, herd 2) TB prevalence herd were selected. Moreover, bulk tank milk samples from both herds were analysed using the P22 ELISA. At the end of the study, a group of animals (n = 21) was euthanized and subjected to post-mortem analysis and bacteriological culture. Significant differences (p

Authors: Bobak CA, McDonnell L, Nemesure MD, Lin J, Hill JE Abstract The growth of publicly available repositories, such as the Gene Expression Omnibus, has allowed researchers to conduct meta-analysis of gene expression data across distinct cohorts. In this work, we assess eight imputation methods for their ability to impute gene expression data when values are missing across an entire cohort of Tuberculosis (TB) patients. We investigate how varying proportions of missing data (across 10%, 20%, and 30% of patient samples) influence the imputation results, and test for significantly differentially expressed genes a...

This article has been withdrawn by the authors. Lanes 2–4 of Fig. 4A were reused in Fig. 5C. Lanes 1 and 2 of Fig. 4B were reused as lanes 2 and 3 of Fig. 7B. Lanes 5 and 6 of Fig. 4C were reused in Fig. 5D. Lanes 1 and 2 of Fig. 5A were reused in Fig. 5B. The authors state that several gels were run for each experiment and that the images were cropped to create panels. They further state that the wrong panels were selected while assembling the figures as they appeared very similar. The authors assert that these errors do not change the results of this article.

M, Vinod Kumar, Shivanand KandgalAbstractAzo molecules (A1-A3) were prepared by reacting 2-aminothiazole with three different pyridone derivatives as coupling components, viz., 6-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carbonitrile, 6-hydroxy-1,4-dimethyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-nitrile and 1-ethyl-6-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carbonitrile via diazo-coupling reactions, under appropriate experimental conditions. The structural characteristics of the synthesiz...
