Forty-eight healthy SD rats were randomly assigned to four groups: the sham, chronic constriction injury (CCI), olfactory ensheathing cell (OEC), and MC-OEC groups. Mechanical paw withdrawal thresholds were measured on days 7 and 14 after surgery. ConclusionCell transplantation appears to be a safe therapeutic strategy possessing substantial beneficial effects in the patients with SCI in clinic. In conclusion, HSC ageing is characterised by reduced self-renewal, myeloid and platelet HSC skewing, and expanded clonal haematopoiesis that is considered a preleukaemic state.
