Selected patients may benefit from a minimally invasive approach by an experienced gynecologic oncologist instead of vertical laparotomy, abdominal washout, diversion and the potential sequelae of an open abdomen.

We report a case of Mediterranean spotted fever in a 56-year–old woman, with pet dog exposure, who presented with a septic shock pattern. In conclusion, our study is the first to reveal the neuroprotective effect of aVNS against POCD. This effect might be attributed to the inhibition of neuroinflammation and Alzheimer’s-related pathology. This study suggests non-invasive aVNS may serve as a promising method for clinical treatment of POCD.
CONCLUSION: Laparoscopic partial cystectomy and shaving of the bladder lesion seem to improve urinary symptoms, with a low rate of intra- and postoperative complications and a low rate of recurrence, without affecting long-term bladder capacity.
