Entering an Era of Precision Management of Thyroid Cancer

Thyroid cancer is a common endocrine malignancy, which has seen a rapidly rising incidence and an unprecedentedly large number of accumulated living cases in recent years. The vast majority of patients with thyroid cancer have an excellent clinical prognosis. Yet, there are patients, albeit in a minority, who have poor clinical outcomes. The fate of thyroid cancer is thus not destined the same in all patients, imposing a constant challenge as to how the management of patients would be most appropriate.
