Good results with autologous breast reconstruction after failed implant reconstruction

But when implant-based reconstruction fails, autologous reconstruction -- using the patient's own tissues -- is a safe procedure that improves patient outcomes, reports a study in the February issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery ® , the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
