Background: Clinical treatment of plaque psoriasis typically involves a comprehensive therapy, which is expensive and unsatisfactory, and some medications have serious side effects. Moving cupping therapy has shown good clinical efficacy in the treatment of plaque psoriasis; it can significantly relieve skin inflammation and excessive thickening of plaque psoriasis and has fewer side effects. However, a comprehensive evaluation of the current clinical evidence regarding its use is lacking. Methods: Several databases were systematically searched from inception to March 2, 2020, including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Centra...

Authors: Rodríguez Baisi K, Tollefson M Abstract There is a need for new and effective topical treatment options for psoriasis. Recent phase I and II clinical trials have demonstrated efficacy of the novel nonsteroidal drug tapinarof to treat mild to moderate plaque psoriasis. Tapinarof is an aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) agonist that induces antioxidant, immunomodulatory and epidermal differentiation regulation pathways. In this review, we examine the current preclinical and clinical studies with a focus on the mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, safety and efficacy of tapinarof to treat psoriasis. ...

CONCLUSIONS: In this review, we include a study of the new anti-IL-17 biological agents (secukinumab, ixekizumab, and bromalizumab ) used for moderate-to-severe psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis treatment in clinical practice, as well as pivotal trials with bimekizumab. We study the relationship of these biological agents and the appearance of candidiasis in its various clinical forms. PMID: 33026212 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

CONCLUSIONS: In the treatment of moderate plaque psoriasis, Cal/BD foam plus apremilast provided more benefits than with apremilast alone. These improvements appeared to be lost when Cal/BD foam was withdrawn but recovered when Cal/BD foam was reinitiated. J Drugs Dermatol. 2020;19(9):874-880. doi:10.36849/JDD.2020.5020.
