U.S. Supreme Court Refuses To Hear War Veterans' Burn-Pit Toxic Injury Case

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Supreme Court on Jan. 14 denied certiorari to a group of veterans who sued private contractors for injuries and deaths they contend were caused by the defendants' disposal of toxic chemicals in open-air burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan (Alan Metzgar, et al. v. KBR Inc., et al., No. 18-317, U.S. Sup.).
