ConclusionThese data confirm the presence of ST5-t442-MRSA-SCCmecV-pvl+ and iMLSB MRSA in meat samples, indicating a potential role of meat in the dissemination of multidrug-resistant S. aureus strains and successful MRSA lineages in Punjab.
