In this report, we analyzed gene expression profiles of paired specimens of keratinocyte carcinomas with their matched normal skin tissues as the control. Among several novel findings, we discovered a significant number of zinc finger encoding genes up-regulated in human BCC. In BCC, a novel link was found between hedgehog signaling, Wnt signaling, and the cilium. The advent of BRAF and MEK inhibitors changed the landscape of the management of BRAF mutated melanoma patients. In this article, we report the case of a 51-year-old man with BRAF mutated locally advanced cutaneous melanoma of the head who demonstrated a limited response to initial anti-BRAF monotherapy followed by extensive surgery. Anti-PD1 therapy failed to reverse the disease progression. However, subsequent double inhibition of the BRAF and MEK pathways induced a fast and remarkable tumour response.

We describe a case of multiple cutaneous metastases from gastric cancer resembling sebaceous cysts with a synchronous melanoma, in a patient after fluoropyrimidine-based systemic chemotherapy. Melanoma occurring as a second cancer has been recognized in patients having undergone previous chemotherapy or radiation for another cancer. ConclusionsThis study provided an overall picture of ICI-induced vitiligo in daily medical practice on a large number of pharmacovigilance observations of case patients. Among the observations of ICI-induced vitiligo, the diagnosed cancer was melanoma for almost all patients.
