193. Ethical Aspects of Involving Children And Adolescents In HIV Research: A Systematic Review of The Empiric Literature

Children and adolescents are often excluded from HIV research due to ethical concerns. However, this exclusion is often based upon opinion rather than empiric data. Missing in this debate are empiric data describing the experiences and perspectives of children, adolescents, parents, and community stakeholders in child and adolescent HIV research participation. Our objective was to systematically review empirical research on the ethics of involving children and adolescents in HIV research.
