I am a prospective medical student who will hopefully be studying medicine in the UK next year. My question is if I do a 6 year MBBS degree can I then get a medical residency in Canada or do I have to do an MD degree. just asking because medical residents in Canada have typically completed 8 years of education after high school. Also I believe MBBS is an undergraduate degree and MD is a graduate degree but I don't know if that would make any difference.
