A multicenter evaluation of the Elecsys® AMH immunoassay for prediction of antral follicle count
ConclusionThe Elecsys® AMH immunoassay provides a robust and fully automated method to measure serum AMH levels. Women with AMH values below the cut-off of 1.77 ng/mL are unlikely to have AFC>15.
CONCLUSIONS: Better staff training focused on care bundles preventing infections, better medical training focused on less efforts for CVC insertion, and the use of Ultrasounds during the CVC insertion may be the main factors that can lead to lower CLABSI rates in obese patients. Further research relating CLABSI rates in ICU patients and obesity is needed. PMID: 32468303 [PubMed - in process]

This study aimed to investigate how a unilateral high-grade tear caused overdistension of LAM and whether tear positions affect the degree of distension. Methods A total of 209 women were screened by translabial ultrasonography. Then, 18 nulliparous women with an intact LAM and 26 postpartum women with unilateral levator ani defects were recruited. The anteroposterior diameter (AP), coronal diameter (LR), and hiatal area (HA) of the minimum levator hiatus were recorded and compared for assessing the distensibility. All 44 subjects underwent magnetic resonance imaging for the diagnosis of levator ani defect and detection...

Considering that female sexual hormones may modulate the inflammatory response and also exhibit direct effects on the cells of the immune system, herein, we intend to discuss the sex differences and the role of estradiol in modulating the lung and systemic inflammatory response, focusing on its possible application as a treatment modality for SARS-CoV-2 patients. COVID-19 patients develop severe hypoxemia early in the course of the disease, which is silent most of the time. Small fibrinous thrombi in pulmonary arterioles and a tumefaction of endothelial were observed in the autopsies of fatal COVID-19 cases. Studies showed...
We report three cases of focal anterior interosseous fascicular involvement in the median nerve trunk presenting as AIN palsy. Our report emphasizes the unique ultrasonographic and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features of swelling, hourglass-like constriction and torsion, and entwinement of the nerve fascicle of the dorsal region of the median nerve, which were confirmed surgically. On MRI, all patients showed denervation changes in the AIN territory, as well as in the median nerve territory, without compressing structures. PMID: 32469179 [PubMed - in process]

This study is aimed at observing the preventive and therapeutic effects of different modes of LIPUS and at identifying the optimal LIPUS treatment regimen for temporomandibular joint injury. In the present study, rat models of temporomandibular joint injury were established using a chronic sleep deprivation (CSD) method, and the effect of LIPUS as intensities of 30, 45, and 60 mW/cm2 was observed at 7, 14, and 21 days. After CSD, the condylar cartilage of the rats demonstrated variable degrees of surface roughening, collagen fiber disarrangement or even partial exfoliation, decreased proteoglycan synthesis and carti...
