Pill for postpartum depression succeeds in late-stage trial

Sage Therapeutics reported that its pill to treat postpartum depression appears to have succeeded in a late-stage trial. In a study of 151 women suffering from the condition, those who were given oral medication developed by Sage, called SAGE 217, showed fewer symptoms of depression than those given a placebo.
