The Importance of Vitamin K Monitoring With Warfarin (Coumadin) Use in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients

Warfarin (Coumadin) is most commonly prescribed for individuals with increased risk of blood clots associated with coronary heart disease. Many patients who have chronic kidney disease (CKD) may also be prescribed warfarin (Coumadin) related to the coronary heart disease risk factors.
