Researchers blame opioid epidemic on higher homeless ER visits

Homeless people in Massachusetts are visiting the emergency room at drastically higher rates, and local researchers point to the opioid epidemic as a possible cause. An increase in Medicaid coverage may also have been a contributing factor, a study suggests.
