693: Obstructive sleep apnea among obese pregnant women
Obesity has emerged as a leading cause of morbidity in reproductive aged women. It is associated with multiple maternal and fetal co-morbidities including pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and fetal growth restriction. It is also associated with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a treatable condition that is independently associated with gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and fetal growth restriction. Despite the known association between obesity and OSA, pregnant women are rarely screened for OSA.
