Reply Letter to the Editor “Mid-term outcomes of sleeve gastrectomy in the elderly”

This study analyzed 55 patients in total, and with this low number of patients, the statistical power is limited. Still, we performed a univariate analysis to try and detect any risk factors that could potentially increase the risk of ble eding. None of the parameters demonstrated an association with bleeding. Patients who were treated with any sort of blood thinners such as Aspirin or LMWH did not display a tendency for post-operative bleeding [0.06 (-0.11;0.25) 0.44].
