Pfizer inks deal to bring Advil and Excedrin under one roof
Two pharmaceutical giants have agreed to combine their consumer health-care units to create a new company.
New York-based Pfizer Inc. confirmed Wednesday that it has teamed up with GlaxoSmithKline PLC to create "a premier global consumer healthcare company" that owns both companies' over-the-counter medicines and other drug store items.
The two companies were in talks earlier this year, but discussion s stalled.
