ConclusionsLocal sternal wound reconstruction is an effective, rapid, and simple with Z-plasty associated with low recurrence risk. We believe that Z-plasty can be used for recurrent local sternal wound infections as an alternative treatment option for selected patients without mechanical dehiscence.
