Judge Expedites Trial For Couple In Glyphosate Cancer Case Against Monsanto

OAKLAND, Calif. - A California state court judge on Nov. 15 granted a couple's motion for an expedited trial in their lawsuit against Monsanto Co., which they contend is liable for their cancer because they were exposed to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto's herbicide Roundup. The judge ordered the trial to begin March 18 (Alva Pilliod, et al. v. Monsanto Company, No. RG17862702, Calif. Super., Alameda Co.).
