Cancer Victim: Monsanto's Motion To Tax Trial Costs Should Be Denied

SAN FRANCISCO - A cancer victim who accepted a reduced award of $78,506,418.35 in damages for exposure to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto Co.'s herbicide Roundup, on Nov. 2 filed a brief in California state court contending that Monsanto Co. should not be allowed to tax the costs the plaintiff seeks to recover after the trial because the costs are reasonable (DeWayne Johnson v. Monsanto Company, No. CGC 16550128, Calif. Super., San Francisco Co.).
