CONCLUSION: Ob-gyns perceive vaccine refusal among pregnant women as common and refusal of influenza vaccine as more common than refusal of Tdap vaccine. This study explored the association between serum vitamin D levels and urinary tract infections in pregnant women.Study designIn this case control study, 187 participants including, 97 pregnant women diagnosed as a symptomatic UTI (case group) and 90 matched healthy pregnant women (control group) were consecutively enrolled from prenatal care clinic of Imam Reza Hospital in Urmia, North West of Iran. ConclusionsThe present study demonstrated that the Inula helenium and Grindelia squarrosa, which have been traditionally used in Europe as medicinal plants, are a valuable source of active compounds with anti-inflammatory activity. Our observations justify the traditional use of I. helenium and G. squarrosa for a treatment inflammation-based diseases in respiratory tract.Graphical abstract

In this issue of JAH, Choi et al.  report on research examining sexting among sexual minority youth. The results of their study represent a significantly more sophisticated understanding of this behavior, relative to the emergence of the concept of sexting approximately 15 years ago. Back then, in 2005, the Los Angeles Tim es published a news story referencing a phenomenon they called “sext messaging.” Three years later, a survey released by Cosmogirl.com and the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy was the first to examine this behavior in a systematic way.
